The child never sees a screen

It's the only app we know of whose main job is telling a parent to put their phone down.

What's Inside

Thousands of ideas. No shopping list.

Parents filter by how long they've got and how much energy they have. Every card explains the developmental "why" in plain English.

One More Thing

It doubles as inspection evidence.

Ofsted's renewed inspection toolkit places parent partnership inside the leadership and management judgement, and "how do you support learning at home?" is a question a lot of settings find difficult to answer concretely.

We write you a one-page summary of your home-learning offer, with uptake figures for your setting, ready to drop straight into your evidence folder. You don't have to write anything.

The Quiet Why

Grounded in child development. Invisible in the moment.

Every activity is designed with child psychologists and reviewed by experts, with the developmental rationale written in plain English on the card — so parents understand what they're building without it ever feeling like homework.

"As a paediatric OT, I love that these activities build core developmental skills without feeling like 'homework' for parents."

The Honest Version

Free for your setting. Permanently.

What it costs you

Nothing, now or later. No licence, no per-child fee, no renewal. We're not selling you anything.

You reach families we can't. We'd rather be introduced by the people they already trust with their children than spend a fortune advertising at them.

And about parents — straight up

Mooshie is in free beta. When we launch premium there will be a paid tier.

But every family who joins during beta keeps their access at the price they joined at, for life. Families coming through your setting now get the best deal Mooshie will ever offer.

Why we built it

Mooshie started with a small, very ordinary problem: reaching the end of the day with nothing left to give, and putting the TV on instead.

We didn't want another app full of things to buy. We wanted someone to just say what to do with a laundry basket and ten minutes — and to quietly explain why it mattered. That's the whole product. If it sounds familiar to the families at your setting, we'd love to send you a pack.

Let's get your pack in the post.

We're opening Mooshie to settings slowly, a few at a time, so we can support each one properly.

Takes about twenty seconds. We'll ask for your postcode on the next screen so we know where to post it.

Still Deciding?

Common questions

Is this screen time for children?
No. Zero. The app is for the adult — around thirty seconds to get an idea, then the phone goes away. There is nothing in Mooshie for a child to watch or play with on a device.
Does it create work for my staff?
A poster on the noticeboard and one line in your newsletter. There's nothing to install, nothing to log, and no training.
Do parents need to buy anything?
No. Mooshie is built on a "junk drawer" philosophy — laundry baskets, wooden spoons, pillows, cardboard boxes. If a family doesn't have something, they swipe for a different idea. It's deliberately designed to work in any home, at any budget.
Can I use this as inspection evidence?
Yes. We give you a one-page summary of your home-learning offer, plus uptake figures for your setting, both written to drop straight into your evidence folder.
Is it safe?
Every activity is reviewed by child development experts for the stage it's aimed at. Every card states that active adult supervision is required.
We already use Tapestry or Famly. Does this replace it?
Not at all — those are observation and journal platforms for reporting from your setting to parents. Mooshie is what the parent does at home afterwards. They sit alongside each other.
What do you do with our parents' data?
Families sign up directly with us, and we never pass their details back to you or to anyone else. Full details in our privacy policy.
